Victor Heerman
Victor Heerman (born August 27, 1893 in Surrey , Great Britain , † November 3, 1977 in Los Angeles , California , USA ) was an American film director and screenwriter of British descent.
Life
Victor Heerman and his three siblings grew up without a father. His mother was an employee in the costume store at the theater. At the turn of the century she moved to the United States with her children and took a position as head costume designer at David Belasco . Heerman moved to Hollywood in 1911 to work in the film industry . He wrote and directed two acts for Mack Sennett .
When Victor Heerman with Douglas Fairbanks sr. Working in Arizona, he met Sarah Y. Mason , whom he married in 1920. The marriage had two children. The couple worked mainly as a writer duo. Together they received the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Four Sisters at the 1934 Academy Awards .
