Victor Chukwuekezie Igbonefo or Victor Igbonefo for short (born October 10, 1985 in Enugu ) is an Indonesian - Nigerian football player .

Career

Victor Igbonefo signed his first contract in Lagos with First Bank FC, a club from his native Nigeria . In 2005 he moved to Indonesia and joined Persipura Jayapura , an association based in Jayapura on the island of New Guinea . The club played in the Indonesian Premier Division , the country's second division. From 2005 to 2011 he played 152 games for the club. In 2011 he moved to Madura to Madura United FC . In 2012 he was loaned to Thailand for the first division club Chiangrai United . After the first series and 12 games, he went back to Indonesia. Here he signed a contract in Malang with Arema FC . In 2015 he was loaned to Thailand again. He played one year for those in the Thai Premier League playing Osotspa Samut Prakan . At the beginning of the 2016 season he moved to Sattahip and joined league rivals Navy FC . After one season he moved to Nakhon Ratchasima to the local Nakhon Ratchasima FC . In 2018 he went back to Indonesia again. He signed a one-year contract in Bandung with Persib Bandung . After a year he moved back to Thailand. The 2019 season he played for first division promoted PTT Rayong FC in Rayong . After Rayong announced in late 2019 that the club was withdrawing from the Thai League, he moved back to his former club Persib Bandung in Indonesia.
