The models of the Neue Linie were first presented in February 1937 at the International Automobile and Motorcycle Exhibition (IAMA) in Berlin.

Naming

The abbreviation KR stood for "Kraftrad" at Victoria, the 25 for the displacement of 250 cm³ and HM for some models stood for "high-performance motor".

Technical details

The fuel consumption at 60 km / h was 2.75 liters / 100 km. The crankshaft had three roller bearings and one ball bearing. All bearings were lubricated by the gear oil. The fuel-air mixture came from a Bing two-slide carburetor model AJ 2/22, from KR 25 HM model AJ 2/24. The four-speed gearbox followed the 1-0-2-3-4 gearshift system, the rear wheel was driven by a roller link chain made up of 120 1/2 × 5/16 inch rollers. The final ratio to the rear wheel was 1: 2.69 in solo operation and 1: 2.86 when using a sidecar. A Noris alternator (MLZS 45/60/1 L) with a mechanical regulator supplied Bosch brand spark plugs with a heat value of W 195 T1 or Beru K175b 1 / 14U - only W 225 T type spark plugs were used when the temperature was high. The chassis with a wheelbase of 1,375 mm had a ground clearance of 125 mm (unloaded) or 115 mm (loaded).
