Victoria Tennant (born September 30, 1950 in London ) is a British actress .

Life and accomplishments

Victoria Tennant's father, Cecil Tennant, who died in 1967, worked as an agent in the entertainment industry. His customer Laurence Olivier became Victoria's godfather. Her mother Irina Baronova was a Russian ballet dancer . Victoria Tennant graduated from London's Central School of Speech and Drama .

Tennant's debut in a major role took place in the British film The Ragman's Daughter (1972). In 1984 she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for her role in the mini-television series The Firestorm . In the comedies Solo for 2 and LA Story she appeared alongside Steve Martin , in the thriller The 4½ Trillion Dollar Contract , she starred alongside Michael Caine , in the bestseller thriller she starred alongside James Woods and Brian Dennehy . She also wrote the script for the comedy Edie & Pen , in which she appeared with Stockard Channing , Jennifer Tilly and Scott Glenn .

Tennant married a total of four times. Between 1986 and 1994 she was married to Steve Martin, since 1996 she has been married to the actor and film producer Kirk Stambler .
