content

As part of an archaeological documentation under the direction of Commander Holly, the xenon satellite research team VII travels into the great depths of space to an alien planet that was once inhabited by a civilization of which only burial chambers exist today, which scientists are studying want. In the subterranean chambers of the planet, which has an extremely inhospitable and hostile atmosphere, Dean, a member of the interplanetary team of scientists, is seriously injured by a mysterious explosion in the complex tunnel system. Ricky, another researcher, on the other hand, can easily find some mysterious crystals. Both arrive at the base infirmary, where Dean is examined lying dying while Ricky hands over his find.

Commander Holly, who sees the whole expedition at risk, initially forbids another inspection of the tunnel, but a short time later gives Kate and Gail the order to photograph the chamber system. With the duo, Ricky, who is completely mad, flees back to the chambers, but is later shot by Kate when entering the base. Initial results show that a highly unusual species must have lived here, which has always appeared as a twin. Holly then orders extensive investigations which, in addition to the systematic analysis of the existing crystals, also include another expedition to collect rock samples. During this field trip, Sandy is overwhelmed, raped and finally impregnated by an alien life form, while her partner is killed in the operation. After a seismological activity, the underground tunnel system collapses, making further exploration of the underworld impossible.

From then on, the aggressive, shocked and vision-driven Sandy, who has superhuman powers, drives her mischief on the base of the room and systematically destroys its communication systems. Furthermore, driven by an uncanny thirst for blood, she kills her colleagues one after the other, including the station doctor and Commander Holly. She finally gives birth to two monster babies, while the few remaining scientists around their ex-boyfriend Mark set about destroying Sandy. Mark wants to kill the murderer with an explosive charge, but Sandy discovers the explosives and uses them to destroy the base's inventory.

Mark later succeeds in kidnapping the two monster babies, which he hides from Sandy's access with Sharon, one of two remaining survivors. Then he confronts Sandy, overpowers her, and ultimately strangles her after a tough fight. After this crime, the seriously injured Mark visits the "babysitter" Sandy, who has since fallen victim to a baby and is lying on the floor covered in blood. He himself is attacked by the other baby and eventually killed.

At the end of the film, a space transporter lands with an armed rescue team, which finds a completely destroyed space base without the slightest sign of human life. The crew of the transporter then decides to fly home towards Earth, without realizing that the two monster babies are on board.
