John Scott (composer)

Patrick John O'Hara Scott (born November 1, 1930 in Bristol ) is a British film composer .

Life

Scott worked as a band musician and arranger after his training . Among other things, he was involved in the Hollies recordings , gained recognition as a flautist and had his own jazz combo with the Johnny Scott Quintet . He joined the film as a musician for John Barry's early film compositions.

In 1965 he became self-employed as a composer and musical director. He intoned numerous entertainment films and television productions and composed many of the music for commercials. With JOS owning his own record company, he recorded several records with famous singers such as Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey .
