action

Alaska in 1899: In the remote gold mining settlement of Nome , the unscrupulous Sean McLennon forbids all non-Americans to seek mining rights. In Nome, he can only escape the gang a second time by kidnapping McLennon's fiancé Sarah. In Hudson's hiding place, she gradually gains trust in him and realizes that McLennon is the real villain when he and his followers track down Hudson's hut. Hudson and Sarah flee separately, the latter observes how the crooks shoot down the entire search party of the sheriff. Hudson kills McLennon's last two followers and is believed to be dead after falling under an ice sheet. In Nome, McLennon is arrested during a speech for the observed six-fold murder, but is able to escape his guards in prison. He now seeks out Sarah for revenge, but Hudson is there at the right time and stabs McLennon.

Reviews

“The Norwegian Nils Gaup piles up everything the genre has to offer: breakneck escapes through the mountains, sleigh rides in the snowstorm and campfire romance to warm up. The rest leaves you completely cold: a script from the drawing board, characters in the simplest red and white painting, crowned by a bumpy montage. It is always faded out when the hero falls into the ice water again and miraculously survives. Brrrrr! "

“An adventure film set in a magnificent snowy landscape in an elaborate staging. Two shortcomings tarnish the entertainment value: the scope format does not come into its own on video, and the numerous acts of killing are presented with exaggerated casualness. "
