Victoria von Winterfeldt

Victoria von Winterfeldt (born August 5, 1906 in Graudenz ; † 1973 ) was a German sinologist .

Life

From 1924 to 1925 she studied art history at the University of Vienna , from 1925 to 1930 at the University of Frankfurt am Main, art history, history, philosophy and Sanskrit, from 1930 to 1931 at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin, humanities and sinology, from 1931 to 1932 in Frankfurt am Main Sinology and 1932 at the University of Hamburg Sinology. After her doctorate in Hamburg in 1932 and her habilitation in 1950 at the University of Mainz , she was a private lecturer in Sinology from 1954 to 1957 and an adjunct professor of Sinology from 1957 to 1968 .
