The Vienna Economic Forum (also VEF ), founded in 2004, is an international non-governmental organization promoting economic cooperation in the region from the Adriatic to the Black Sea . The member countries include Albania , Bosnia and Herzegovina , Bulgaria , Croatia , Kosovo , Republic of Moldova , Montenegro , North Macedonia , Austria , Romania , Slovenia , Turkey and Ukraine . The VEF is based in Vienna .
The VEF has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is entered in the transparency register of the European Parliament and the European Commission .
