Vierde is a village belonging to the town of Bad Fallingbostel in the Lower Saxony district of Heidekreis .

geography

Vierde is located in the Böhme valley , which is cut around 40 meters into the gently undulating plateaus of the Heidmark (south-western Lüneburg Heath ).

The place is on the state road 163 northeast of Bad Fallingbostel. The hamlet Küddelse and the Doppelhof Klint belong to the village .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document around 1337. The name Vierde is derived from the four courtyards that Vierde once consisted of.

Vierde is still dominated by agriculture today. Generally, in which until the 19th century Schnuckenhaltung the main occupation of the moorland farmers .
