The Vigen Cliffs are 1,750 m high cliffs in Queen Elizabeth Land in West Antarctica . In the Forrestal Range of the Pensacola Mountains they tower east of Gabbro Crest on the southeastern edge of the Saratoga Table .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1979 after Oscar C. Vigen (1921-2000) of the National Science Foundation , who was responsible for the financial planning of the foundation from 1968 to 1985.
