Viktor Ivanovich Anpilov ( Russian Ви́ктор Ива́нович Анпи́лов ; scientific transliteration Viktor Ivanovič Anpilov; born October 2, 1945 in Belaya Glina ; † January 15, 2018 ) was a Russian politician of the communist movement of Russia.

Life

Anpilov was chairman of the parties Trudowaja Rossija ( Working Russia ) and the Communist Workers' Party of Russia (Российская коммунистическая рабочая партия). Trudovaya Rossiya was a member organization of the Stalin bloc for the USSR , a grouping of smaller communist parties that received 0.6% of the vote in the 1999 Duma election and was also chaired by Anpilov. For the parliamentary elections in 2003 , Anpilov considered running for the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia led by Vladimir Wolfovich Zhirinovsky , since he had offered him one of the top three places on the list. As long as Trudovaya Rossiya participated in the Alliance The Other Russia , Anpilov was one of its best-known representatives and co-organizer of the March of the Dissatisfied .

He was admitted to hospital on January 13, 2018 after suffering a stroke and was in a coma until his death.
