Viktor Boell

Viktor Böll (born October 9, 1948 in Cologne ; † January 31, 2009 there ) was a German cultural worker and head of the Heinrich Böll archive .

Life

One year after starting to study German , sociology and theater studies in Cologne , he became the assistant to his uncle Heinrich Böll in 1971 . After he had given all of his documents to the City of Cologne on permanent loan, Viktor took over the management of the Heinrich Böll Archive in 1979. In this position he also worked as author and editor for the work of the Nobel Prize winner for literature until his death. He became a founding member of the Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Lew Kopelew Forum .

His own works include a volume of prose, the Grotesque Visions and the play Abolition of Letters , which he wrote together with Konrad Beikircher .
