Viktor Pucinski

Viktor Pucinski (born December 17, 1882 in Alt Paschkin (Pakszyn), Schwarzenau , Gnesen district , Posen province , † 1952 in Düsseldorf ) was a German landscape and animal painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Pucinski, originally a watchmaker , studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1911 to 1915 . The landscape painter Eugen Dücker and the animal painter Julius Paul Junghanns were his teachers there. From 1924 to 1952 Pucinski was a member of the artists' association Malkasten . He was also a member of the Association of Düsseldorf Artists .

Until his death Pucinski lived in Düsseldorf, whose urban landscape and surroundings he captured in numerous pictures. He found the motifs of his animal paintings in particular in the landscapes of the Lower Rhine and in the Düsseldorf Zoological Garden . Pucinski was one of the artists whose works were shown in the great German art exhibitions.
