Viktor Weißhaupt (born March 6, 1848 in Munich , † February 23, 1905 in Karlsruhe ) was a German painter .

Viktor Weißhaupt was born on March 6, 1848 in Munich as the son of the silversmith Karl Weißhaupt. He was a German animal and landscape painter and from 1885 taught at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe as the successor to Heinrich von Zügel .

His teacher was the well-known painter Wilhelm Diez at the Munich Academy. Weißhaupt became famous in 1879 for his painting "Wilder Stier". Viktor Weißhaupt was married to the famous landscape painter Fanny Edle von Geiger and was a member of the Munich Secession . His most important works were created in the Dachau Moor from 1874 to 1895.

He received important prizes such as the gold medal in 1878 in London , 1880 in Düsseldorf , 1881 in Berlin , 1876 in Munich and others.
