The Villa Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 17 is located in the Niederlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul .

The under monument protection standing cottage-like villa is a smaller, anderthalbgeschossiges building with jamb and former schiefergedecktem gable roof supported on a basement floor stands.

In the traufständigen street view is a two-storey central projection with a triangular gable, the tympanum is decorated by stucco. The plastered facades have now been simplified; the corner blocks and pilasters have since been removed. The windows are framed by sandstone frames with sills on consoles and roofs .

The country house was built in 1886/1887 according to a design by the master builder FA Bernhard Große for the building contractor Heinrich Winkler.

In 1915 it belonged to the publisher Paul Frost, who owned the postcard publisher Paul Frost there. In 1920, Frost became the owner of a book printing company and co-owner of Frost & Richter in Kötzschenbroda.

In 1882/1883 the building contractor Johann Heinrich Winkler from Niederlößnitz built the Villa Edelweiß at Gradsteg 34 according to a design by F. A. Bernhard Große. The similar-looking villa at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 17 , which was built for Winkler here, also came from Bernhard Große , followed by the villa Heinrich-Zille-Straße 66 in 1887/1888 and the Villa Josephine (Heinrich-Zille-Straße 68) in 1888/1889 . In 1889/1890 he had Carl Käfer design a villa at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 12 ( Villa Minerva ), which also corresponded to this type, and in 1897/1898 Adolf Neumann built the Johann Heinrich Winkler rental villa for him in the Thomas-Mann- Street 3.
