Villa Kraus in Walchstadt

The Villa Kraus in Walchstadt , a district of the municipality of Wörthsee in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg , was built in 1901. The villa at Wörthseestrasse 5, across from the Catholic branch church St. Martin , is a protected monument .

The castle-like villa with hipped roof , bay windows , balconies and loggia high above the Wörthsee was built and moved into for himself in 1901 by the Munich engineer and master builder Max Kraus, architect of the Müller Volksbad .

From 1962 the family of the musician Gustav Kaleve lived in the villa.
