Villa Margarethe

The Villa Margarethe is located at Clara-Zetkin-Straße 1 in the Radebeul district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . It was designed in 1896/1897 by the architect and builder Adolf Neumann for Karl Heine and Hermann Schwendler; the porch, which was added later in 1919, was designed by the architect Paul Ziller .

The two-storey, listed rental villa is located on a corner property facing Schillerstraße . It has a flat base and a protruding hipped roof .

In the four-axis street view towards Clara-Zetkin-Strasse there is a two-axis, three-storey raised central projection , formerly with a split gable . In this there is a round arch twin window . The other windows in the risalit are adorned on the ground floor by round-arched roofs and on the upper floor by triangular gable roofs .

In the left, two-axis side view, there is a side elevation on the left, i.e. the rear side of the facade , in which the house entrance with an outside staircase and canopy is located on the narrow side facing the street . In the right side view towards Schillerstraße is the two-story, polygonal porch that was added in 1919. The windows in this have recently been changed.

The plastered building, which has been renewed for simplification, is structured and decorated by plaster strips and plaster-brick corner blocks , the rectangular windows are framed by sandstone walls, which are crowned by brick arches with decorative keystones . The rafter gables were also recently renewed.
