Villa Roseggerstrasse 5 (Radebeul)

The Villa Roseggerstraße 5 is located in the Serkowitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . It was built in 1908/1909 according to plans by the architect Oskar Menzel by the local construction company F. W. Eisold by its owner, the builder Wilhelm Eisold , on its own property.

Together with its enclosure under monument protection standing villa for rent , but in the monument topography according to planning application as Villa addressed is a building with neo-baroque overtones. The two-storey house stands on a high base and has a tiled hipped roof .

In the symmetrical street view, there is a central projection with curved sides under a hipped mansard roof . In front of the risalit is a closed, glazed veranda , the exit of which is protected by a glass roof and glazed side walls. On both sides of the gable there is a dormer in the roof . In the risalit there is an arched house entrance above a flight of stairs. Above this, a French balcony emerges from the upper floor , the door with a round-arched skylight . The risalit gable at roof level is curved and decorated with a stucco cartouche .

In the right side view there is a rectangular porch.

The simple plaster facades are framed by corner pilaster strips at the building edges. Some windows are still adorned with ornamental stained glass .

Master builder Wilhelm Eisold applied as “builder, site manager and executor” in February 1908 to build a “single-family villa” based on a design by architect Oskar Menzel on his own property. The notice of completion of construction dates from September 1909. On July 31, 1910, the villa, ready for occupancy, was sold.
