Villa Rosenegg in Aldrans

The Villa Rosenegg is located in the municipality of Aldrans in the Innsbruck-Land district of Tyrol (Innsbrucker Straße 2).

The Innsbruck family Ortlieb had the Biedermeier summer villa built around the 1856th Apart from minor alterations in 1873 and 1910, the building remained unchanged. The villa was the residence of the poet Hermann von Gilm zu Rosenegg . From 1926 to 1942 the villa was the residence of the Tyrolean writer Rudolf Greinz . In 2018 the building was donated to the University of Innsbruck by the owners, the Greinz descendants .

The listed  building has a rectangular floor plan, a flat hipped roof, a high ground floor and an attached mezzanine . Two columns with Ionic capitals made of natural stone stand in the square portal opening . The facades are designed with central risalites on the south and north sides as well as plastered structure with corner pilasters , belt cornices and plastering sockets .
