Villa rustica (Kienberg)

The villa rustica in the district of Kienberg , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein , is located about 300 meters northwest of Willing . The villa rustica of the Roman Empire is a protected ground monument .

Roman wall remains were found in a forest on a flat tongue of land with a view of the Mörntal valley . The finds from this area date from the 1st to the 3rd century.

In 2000, an iron wedge, a lead-framed iron loop , two Rhaetian beakers with horseshoe decorations , coarse ceramics and other implements were found between slates .
