Vilson Džoni

Vilson Džoni ( Albanian : Vilson Gjoni) (born September 24, 1950 in Split , SFR Yugoslavia , now Croatia ) is a former Yugoslav football player. The full-back belongs to the “golden generation” of the 1970s of the Hajduk Split club .

Career

Džoni was used in the first Yugoslav league for the first time in the season 1968/69 and was in the following years with Hajduk three times Yugoslav champions and five times cup winners. After he moved to Dinamo Zagreb in 1978 and scored 11 goals in one season as a defender, he was signed by FC Schalke 04 in 1979 . In the Bundesliga he played 55 games and scored six goals. In 1982 he moved to the second division for SG Wattenscheid 09 , for which he scored 19 goals in 130 second division games. In 1986 he ended his active career.

For the Yugoslav national team , he played four games between 1974 and 1978.

After the career

Džoni has been working as a scout since the end of his career .
