The Vina is a river in Cameroon . It is the longest of the headwaters of the Logone.
course
The river has its sources north of the town of Ngaundere in the Adamaua highlands , at an altitude of 1435 m. In its upper reaches it is usually referred to as a bini. It flows through Lac Bini, before flowing further eastwards over several rapids in a deeply cut valley. It flows together with the Mbéré on the border with Chad . From then on the further course is referred to in most sources as Logone Occidental .
Hydrometry
The flow rate of the river was measured in Touboro , around 90% of the catchment area, in m³ / s
designation
There are several ambiguities in naming the rivers in the region. Apart from the fact that another river called Vina has its sources in the same area, the name of the water after the confluence of the Vina with the Mbéré is different. In some sources it is called Vina up to the mouth of the Nya and from there Logone Occidental; in others from the confluence of the Vina and the Mbéré. In others, the Vina flows into the Mbéré, which forms the Logone through the confluence with the Pendé .
