Vincenc Morstadt
Vincenc Morstadt (born April 17, 1802 in Kolín , † February 19, 1875 in Prague ) was a Czech painter and draftsman . Most of his artistic output is closely related to Prague, where he came at the age of 11. He attended the Piarist High School in Prague's New Town and then studied at the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague . From 1867 he devoted himself exclusively to painting . He became famous for his vedute with city views of Prague.
The Nobel Prize for Literature Laureate Jaroslav Seifert memorialized him in his poem Prager Vedute (in the collection The Umbrella of Piccadilly ).
