The Vincennes University (including VU is called) is a public university in Vincennes in the southwest of the US state of Indiana . 4,522 students are currently enrolled here.

history

The college was founded in 1801 as the Jefferson Academy . In 1806 it was given its current name. It was founded by William H. Harrison and is one of two universities in the USA, along with the University of Virginia , that were founded by presidents.

Sports

The VU sports teams are the trail blazers . The bowling team in particular is known nationwide.
