The Indiana State University (also ISU is called) any State University in Terre Haute in the US state of Indiana . It was founded in 1865 as the Indiana State Normal School . There are currently 10,534 students enrolled here.
history
The college was founded in 1865 by the Indiana General Assembly as the Indiana State Normal School . It served as a normal school of education for elementary and high school teachers . The university awarded 1,908 her first Bachelor Accounts and 1928 the first Master . In 1929 the institution was renamed Indiana State Teachers College and in 1961, due to the expansion of the education, in Indiana State College . It was last renamed in 1965 to its current name as Indiana State University
Sports
The ISU sports teams are the Sycamores . The college is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference . The football team plays in the Gateway Football Conference .
