NBA career
In June 2007, Carl Landry was drafted in 31st place by the Seattle SuperSonics and then transferred to the Houston Rockets for a future second-round pick . In his debut season, he did not play in the first 33 of 36 games. Later that season, he gained more playing time from the injury to all-star Yao Ming . During the Rockets' 22-game winning streak (the second-longest winning streak in NBA history), he emerged as a key player for his team.
On April 24, 2008, he led the Houston Rockets in a playoff game against the Utah Jazz with a game- winning block at Deron Williams in the final seconds to victory. In this game he also lost an incisor. In the Dallas Mavericks game against Houston in December 2009, Landry lost several teeth again when Dirk Nowitzki collided with him in a lay-up. Nowitzki injured his elbow.
Landry moved to the Sacramento Kings in 2010 , including in exchange for Kevin Martin . With the Kings Landry had his best individual time and achieved his best career values in the 2009/10 season with 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds on average. In February 2011, he moved to the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for Marcus Thornton . Landry was an important banker there with an average of 12 points per game.
In the summer of 2012, Landry joined the Golden State Warriors as a free agent . In the summer of 2013 he used an option in his contract with the Warriors and left the club. He moved back to the Sacramento Kings , for whom he played from 2010 to 2011.
In the summer of 2015, Landry was transferred from the Kings to the Philadelphia 76ers . He completed 36 season games for the Sixers, scoring 9.8 points and 4.1 rebounds. In the summer of 2016, he was released from the Sixers.
Others
In his first three games of the season in 2012, Landry hit at least 50% from the field every time (minimum 5 throws). Along with Kobe Bryant , Darren Collison , Rajon Rondo and Brandan Wright , he is the fifth player to have achieved this. As the only one of these five, he did not start the game from the beginning.
