Vincent Clerc (born May 7, 1981 in Échirolles , Département Isère ) is a former French rugby player who played on the position of the outer three quarters .

Clerc started his career at FC Grenoble . In 2002 he moved to Stade Toulousain , where he still plays today. On November 9, 2002, he played for the first time for the French national rugby union team against South Africa and was part of the squad for the 2007 Rugby Union World Cup .

His greatest successes include winning the Heineken Cup in 2003, 2005 and 2010 with Stade Toulousain and winning the six-nation tournament in 2004 and 2007.

In April 2008, Clerc seriously injured his knee and was absent for several months. He returned in December and was nominated for the 2009 Six Nations . He also took part in the 2011 World Cup, where he was one of the most successful French scorers .
