Vincent Lachat

Vincent Lachat (* 20th March 1961 in Delémont ) is a Swiss trombonist of modern jazz , but also salsa and Dixieland playing.

Live and act

Lachat grew up in Delémont, and then completed his studies at the Swiss Jazz School . There he made the acquaintance of Umberto Arlati , with whom he often worked. He then worked as a lead trombonist in many large formations, including the Vince Benedetti Big Band, the Robi Seidel Big Band and the Grupo Salsa Café . He toured with the Big Band de Lausanne , the Pepe Lienhard Big Band and the Joe Haider Big Band from 1992 to 1994. He then also played in the Swiss Jazz Orchestra , to which he still belongs to this day, and the Zurich Jazz Orchestra . Open to different styles, he played in the groups of Raymond Court , Eliane Cueni and Paul Thommen as well as in the PS Corporation , the Longstreet Jazz Band and the Storyville Weepers . He also had the opportunity to work with musicians such as Johnny Griffin , Ernie Wilkins , Peanuts Hucko , Randy Sandke , Matthieu Michel , Francy Boland , Andy Scherrer , Bert Joris , Phil Woods , George Gruntz , Franco Ambrosetti and Toots Thielemans . He also took part in the Generations 2004 - International Jazz Meeting Frauenfeld .
