Vincent Naveau has competed in the Junior Biathlon European Cup since 2004. He contested his first races, a sprint and an individual, in Geilo and finished 24th in both races. Then he started for the first time in Geilo in the Biathlon European Cup . In the individual he was 107. Until 2005 he only appeared in this competition, the best result was a 47th place in the individual in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In 2006, Naveau competed in the biathlon world cup for the first time in Oberhof . His first race was a sprint, in which he finished 101st. The Belgian competed for the first time in a biathlon world championship in Antholz in 2007 . In the sprint he was 97th A year later in Östersund he reached the placements 198 in the individual and 106 in the sprint.
In 2005 Naveau won the Belgian sprint champion title in Ruhpolding. He also finished third in the individual and mass start.
