Vincenzo Cassani
Vincenzo Cassani (* 1677 ? In Venice ; † after 1732) was an Italian librettist .
Life
Little is known about Cassani's life. Between 1710 and 1732 he wrote seven librettos for opera houses in Venice and Chioggia ; three of them were set to music by Albinoni . He also wrote two serenas for Benedetto Marcello ( Arianna , Psiche ) and one for Albinoni ( Il nome glorioso in terra, santificato in cielo , on the name day of Emperor Charles VI. 1724).
style
