Virginie Sarpaux (born June 12, 1977 in Mulhouse ) is a former French beach volleyball player .
Career
Sarpaux played her first international tournaments in 2005 with her long-time partner Morgane Faure . At the Phuket Open 2006, the French finished fifth. The following year they failed at the World Championships in Gstaad against the Americans Wacholder / Turner . In 2008 they were eliminated from the European Championships in Hamburg after two defeats against the Dutch Kadijk / Mooren and the Austrians Montagnolli / Swoboda . Sarpaux then played two open tournaments with Eva Hamzaoui before she formed a new duo with Tatiana Barrera in 2009 . Sarpaux / Barrera lost to the Greek Arvaniti / Tsiartsiani in the first main round of the World Championships in Stavanger and finished 17th.
