Tatiana Riera Barrera (born May 9, 1981 in Paris ) is a former French beach volleyball player .

Career

Barrera played her first open tournaments in 1998 and 2000 in Marseille with Ethel-Julie Arjona . In the same place she took part in the 1999 World Cup, but did not get beyond last place. At the next World Cup in Klagenfurt she stayed with Emilie Burte without winning a set. The duo then finished ninth at the Junior World Championships in Le Lavandou . At the side of Arcadia Berjonneau and Andrea Luge , Barrera could not record any successes in 2002 and 2003. In the first main round of the 2003 World Cup , she and Claire Jaouen had to admit defeat to Brazilians Ana Paula / Sandra Pires as third party in the first main round . After the Klagenfurt Grand Slam in 2004, she separated from Jaouen and in 2005 she formed a new duo with Eva Hamzaoui . The World Cup in Berlin ended for Barrera / Hamzaoui in the loser's round due to a tiebreak defeat against the Germans Goller / Ludwig . They then came in ninth in each of the open tournaments in Bali and Cape Town .

After she had played unsuccessfully with Virginie Kadjo from the end of 2006 to 2007 , Barrera competed at the World Cup in Gstaad with Celine Gemise Fareau , but was eliminated in third place behind the Spanish women with the same points. In 2009 she returned after a year break at Virginie Sarpaux's side . The French reached the knockout phase in second place in the preliminary round, in which they were defeated by the Greek Arvaniti / Tsiartsiani .
