Ethel-Julie Puig-Arjona (born June 12, 1981 in Narbonne ) is a former French beach volleyball player .

Career

Puig-Arjona played her first international tournaments with Tatiana Barrera in Marseille from 1998 to 2000 . At the 1999 World Cup , however, the duo did not get past the shared last place. In 2001 Puig-Arjona took part in the Junior World Championships in Le Lavandou with Marion Castelli . At the 2002 European Championships in Basel , she and her new partner Virginie Kadjo were eliminated early after two defeats against the Spaniards Alcon / Cati Pol and the Germans Ahmann / Vollmer . A year later they finished fifth at the Milan Open, but did not get past last place in the group stage of the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro .

At the 2004 European Championships in Timmendorfer Strand they prevailed against two Ukrainian duos in the preliminary round and were defeated by the Germans Pohl / Rau in three sets in the round of 16 . In the same year they finished ninth in three tournaments and seventh in Milan. In their first game of the 2005 World Cup in Berlin they lost to the Norwegians Håkedal / Tørlen and failed on the losing side to the Cuban team Ribalta / Crespo . They then reached two finals of satellite tournaments and finished fifth in the Montreal Open. In 2007 Arjona played her last two tournaments with Castelli in Paris and Marseille.
