The Vivian nunatak is a nunatak in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Ford Ranges it rises 2.5 km southwest of Mount Monson on the southwestern foothills of the Mackay Mountains .

Scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered and mapped it. The United States Geological Survey mapped him using the United States Navy's own measurements and aerial photographs from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1970 after Lieutenant John F. Vivian of the US Navy Reserve Forces , co-pilot of an LC 130F Hercules during Operation Deep Freeze in 1968.
