Vjenceslav Somić (born April 24, 1977 in Sisak , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian handball player . His body length is 1.96 m and his body weight is around 96 kilograms.

Vjenceslav Somić last played for the German handball club VfL Gummersbach (shirt number 1) and for the Croatian men's national handball team in the position of handball goalkeeper .

The sporting handball career began for Vjenceslav Somić at the Croatian handball club RK Medveščak Zagreb in the 2002/2003 season. Somić played there until the 2003/2004 season. He moved to the Croatian handball club RK Perutnina Pipo IPC Čakovec for a year in the 2004/2005 handball season . Subsequently, Vjenceslav Somić was handball goalkeeper at RK Osijek .

With the Croatian handball club RK Zagreb he won the championship and cup in the 2006/2007 season. With RK Zagreb Vjenceslav Somić played in the EHF Champions League in 2007 and was Croatian champion three more times. At the European Handball Championship in Norway in 2008 , Vjenceslav Somić was vice European champion.

In summer 2010 Somić moved to the German Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach, with whom he won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2011 . After the 2011/12 season he left VfL.
