Vladan Stransky (born February 12, 1973 ) is a former Czech - Australian ice hockey player who was under contract for much of his career with the Sydney Bears in the Australian Ice Hockey League . His father Vladimír was also a ice hockey player and in 1981 was Czechoslovakian champion with TJ Vitkovice .

Career

Vladan Stransky began his career as a hockey player in his Czechoslovak homeland, where he was under contract with TJ Vitkovice from the 1st division . After he spent the 1992/93 season with the Dauphin Kings from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and the Jūjō Papaer Kushiro Ice Hockey Club from the Japan Ice Hockey League , he returned to the Czech Republic, where he spent the next few years in the 2nd Czech League , the third highest division in the country, was on the ice. In 2002 he moved to Australia. There he played nine seasons with the Sydney Bears , with whom he won the Goodall Cup , the Australian championship, in 2002 and 2007 . In 2008, as the main round winner of the Australian Ice Hockey League , he also won the VIP Cup with the club.

International

For Australia , Stransky took part after his naturalization in 2009 in the World Championship of Division I in 2009 and Division II in 2011 , when he was promoted to Division I with the Australians.
