Vladimír Táborský (born April 28, 1944 in Prague ) is a former Czech football player and football coach .

Club career

Vladimír Táborský started at Sparta Prague at the age of eleven . In the first division he was used for the first time in 1962 at the age of 18. In 1965 he went to Dukla Prague to do his military service there and returned to Sparta after two seasons. In 1975 he went to Admira Prague, where he worked as a player-coach from 1976.

Vladimír Táborský played 19 international matches for Czechoslovakia from 1966 to 1972 , in which he scored one goal.

Coaching career

From 1976 to 1979 Táborský was player-coach at Admira Prague. From 1979 to 1981 he coached the team of the VTJ Tábor. Between 1981 and 1984 he worked as an assistant coach at Sparta Prague, from 1984/85 he was head coach there. He then went to Greece and trained there AO Xanthi , AE Larisa , Apollon Kalamarias , Veria FC , Panserraikos FC and Panachaiki . In the meantime he worked again in the Czech Republic and trained Viktoria Žižkov and FC Boby Brno in 1993/94, and SK Hradec Králové in 1996/97 .

Today Táborský works as a scout for Greek clubs, as a television commentator and as a football expert and commentator for the idnes.cz portal of the Czech daily Mladá fronta Dnes .
