Vladimiras Beriozovas

Vladimiras Beriozovas ( Russian Владимир Антонович Берёзов / Wladimir Antonowitsch Berjosow; born September 29, 1929 in Viekšniai , Mažeikiai district ; †  March 16, 2016 ) was a Soviet-Lithuanian politician of Russian origin.

Life

Beriozovas studied at the Vincas Kudirka School in Kaunas . From 1952 he was a member of the CPSU . From 1950 to 1953 Beriozovas served in the Soviet Army . From 1953 he was active for the Communist Party of Lithuania in Molėtai , Širvintos and Ignalina . From 1962 to 1967 Beriozovas graduated from the Lithuanian University of Education in Vilnius . From 1989 he was a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union and from 1990 to 1992 in the Seimas , from 1992 to 1997 advisor to Algirdas Brazauskas .

From 1989 he was a member of the LDDP and from 2001 of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania ( Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija ).
