The Vlieland is a double-hull RoPax ferry that connects the West Frisian island of Vlieland with Harlingen .

The ship

The Vlieland was built in 2004 in the Philippines for Rederij Doeksen. Since 2005 the ferry has been running several times a day between Harlingen and Vlieland. The ship's hull and car deck are made of steel, the rest of the structure is made of aluminum.
