Vogel Rok in Efteling ( Noord-Brabant , Netherlands ) is a dark rollercoaster of the Custom MK-900 model from the manufacturer Vekoma , which was opened on April 9, 1998.

The name of the trip refers to the adventures of Sindbad and the bird Roc from Arabian Nights . In addition to the journey, the extensive theming also includes the building and the queue. The front of the building has a large, colorful roch , the largest bird in Europe according to the Guinness Book of Records . At the time of the opening, there were few effects and the connection to the story could not be clearly seen. In 1999, various characters and lighting effects were added, including a snake's mouth at the end of the journey that lights up when the train passes through. In addition, a laser show was installed in the waiting area, which tells the story.
In 2007 the waiting area was renovated and additional decorations were added.

Trains

Vogel Rok owns three trains with seven cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The cars are equipped with a loudspeaker system that plays music specially composed for the attraction by Ruud Boos .
