The Vogtsbach is a left and southwestern tributary of the Göttelbach , which drains into the Schiltach a little below its confluence . It is located in the central Black Forest and flows exclusively in the Schramberg district . It rises in the Sulgen district on the Hörnle corridor marker (current building area Eckenhof / Hörnle section) and then flows through the Catholic holiday village Eckenhof (former Junghansvilla with park) past the Steighäusle to the valley town of Schramberg, where the Vogtsbach flows into the Göttelbach. On its approximately 5.0 km long run, the Vogtsbach covers a gradient of approx. 420 meters. The Vogtsbach has the greatest gradient ( relief energy ) at Staighäusle, where the body of water covers almost 350 meters in altitude at almost 1500 m as the crow flies.
