Volker Drkosch

Volker Drkosch (born October 14, 1969 in Lauf an der Pegnitz ) is a German chef .

Career

After training in 1988 at the Königshof in Munich, Drkosch moved to the Hotel Colombi in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1990 and to the Dieter Müller restaurant in Lerbach Castle in Bergisch Gladbach in 1994 . In 1995 he went to Hans Haas in the Tantris in Munich and 1996 Tigerpalast in Frankfurt. In 1998 he worked as head chef in the Portalis restaurant in Berlin, where he was awarded a Michelin star in 2000.

From 2001 to 2004 he was head chef and gastronomic director at the Hotel Main Plaza in Frankfurt, where he was awarded another Michelin star in 2002. He then switched to the cooking studio in Hofgut Wickstadt in Niddatal in 2005 and to Navette in the Columbia Hotel Rüsselsheim in 2007 . From 2009 to June 2014 he was head chef at the Victorian in Düsseldorf , where he was awarded a Michelin star and 18 Gault Millau points .

In May 2016 he opened his restaurant Bread & Roses in Düsseldorf . Due to a trademark dispute , the restaurant had to be renamed DR. KOSCH . In March the restaurant moved into a larger property in Düsseldorf.
