Tatabánya small area

The small area Tatabánya ( Hungarian Tatabányai kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Komárom-Esztergom county in central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform in early 2013, all ten localities were transferred to the subsequent Tatabánya district .

At the end of 2012, 86,054 people lived in the small area of ​​Tatabánya on an area of ​​331.65 km². With a population density of 256 inhabitants per square kilometer, this was the highest in the county. The administrative seat was the only city, Tatabánya , which is also treated as a county.
