Esztergom small area
The small area Esztergom ( Hungarian Esztergomi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Komárom-Esztergom county in Central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013 all nine localities were completely transferred to the Esztergom district of the same name (in Hungarian Esztergom járás ).
At the end of 2012, 54,051 inhabitants lived in an area of 304.69 km² in the small area of Esztergom. After the small area Tatabánya , the small area Esztergom had the second highest population density (177 inhabitants / km²). The administrative seat was in the largest city Esztergom .
Localities
The small area consisted of nine localities:
- the cities of Esztergom (28.550 Ew.), Nyergesújfalu (7.550 Ew.) and Lábatlan (4.968 Ew.)
- the large community Tát (5.327 Ew.)
- the five municipalities of Bajót , Dömös , Mogyorósbánya , Pilismarót and Süttő
