Walter Raberger

Walter Raberger (born September 9, 1939 in Wels ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Raberger studied German and classical philology at the University of Vienna from 1958 to 1965 . From 1966 to 1971 he studied Roman Catholic theology at the University of Innsbruck. In 1971 Raberger was ordained a priest. From 1984 to 2004 he was Professor of Dogmatics and Ecumenical Theology at the Catholic Private University in Linz , where he was Rector from 1990 to 1992 and Vice-Rector from 1992 to 1994. Raberger retired on October 1, 2004 and continued his lectures. In addition to his academic work, Konsistorialrat Raberger is also active in diocesan pastoral care as a curate at the parish church of St. Nikolaus in Bad Ischl. He has been holding the doctrine of the Saturday evening mass there for decades. In 2011 Raberger signed the memorandum Church 2011: A Necessary Awakening .
