Hanjo Sauer

Hanjo Sauer (born March 28, 1944 ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian.

Life

The first child of Andreas and Elisabeth Sauer (née Ehrlich) attended the Kaulberg School in Bamberg from 1950 to 1954 and the humanistic old grammar school in Bamberg and the Aufseesianum study seminar from 1954 to 1963 . After entering the seminary, he studied philosophy at the PTH University of Bamberg from 1963 to 1965 and graduated with the admission exam. From 1965 to 1968 he studied theology at the University of Innsbruck ( Collegium Canisianum ) (editing the correspondence sheet), from 1968 to 1969 studies at the Institut Catholique de Paris and from 1970 to 1973 in Innsbruck , where he was tutor for dogmatics at the Canisianum. Josef Schneider ordained him a priest in Bamberg in 1972. After receiving his doctorate in 1974 as Dr. theol. in Innsbruck with a dissertation on the concept of theology with Franz von Baader (1765–1841) he worked from 1974 to 1979 at SOS Children's Villages - International (project management for the establishment of the SOS Children's Village in Cairo and the establishment of the Hermann Gmeiner Academy in Innsbruck ). In Münchberg he worked from 1979 to 1980 as a pastor and religion teacher at the Gymnasium Münchberg . From 1980 to 1983 he was a religion teacher at the Kaiser-Heinrich-Gymnasium Bamberg and in youth work in the MC / GCL Regina Mundi in Bamberg. From 1981 to 1985 he had a teaching position for dogmatics at the theological faculty of the University of Bamberg . From 1985 to 1992 he was diocesan family chaplain of the Archdiocese of Bamberg . After his habilitation in 1992 in Fundamental Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Würzburg with a thesis on the Revelation Constitution of the Second Vatican Council, he became Professor of Fundamental Theology at the Catholic Theol in 1993 . University in Linz appointed. He was elected chairman of the administrative board of the German SOS Children's Village Association in 1995. In 1996 he became rector of the Catholic Theol. University of Linz chosen. From the winter semester 2000/2001 to the summer semester 2002 he was Vice-Rector of the KU Linz . In the summer semester of 2003 he did a research stay at the Catholic Theological Union . He has been retired since July 2009 , but is still responsible for teaching.
