The small area Dorog ( Hungarian Dorogi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Komárom-Esztergom county in central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform, the small area was dissolved. At the beginning of 2013, all localities were transferred to the Esztergom District ( Esztergomi járás in Hungarian ).

At the end of 2012, 38,851 inhabitants lived in the small area of ​​Dorog on an area of ​​232.57 km². The administrative seat was in the only city Dorog (11.905 Ew.), The large community Tokod (4.137 Ew.) Was the second most populous in the small area. The population density was 167 inhabitants / km².
