Komárom small area
The small area Komárom ( Hungarian Komáromi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Komárom-Esztergom county in Central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . For the administrative reform of 2013, the layout of the localities was not changed, the successor Komárom district (in Hungarian Komáromi járás ) continues to exist within the same limits.
At the end of 2012, 39,559 inhabitants lived in the small area of Komárom on an area of 378.78 km². After Kisbér , the small area had the second lowest population density (104 inhabitants per km²).
The administrative seat was in Komárom .
Localities
The small area consisted of nine localities:
- the cities of Ács (6.808 Ew.), Bábolna (3.774 Ew.) and Komárom (19200 Ew.)
- the large community Nagyigmánd (3.025 Ew.)
- 5 rural communities Almásfüzitő , Bana , Csém , Kisigmánd and Mocsa
