Komárom small area

The small area Komárom ( Hungarian Komáromi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Komárom-Esztergom county in Central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . For the administrative reform of 2013, the layout of the localities was not changed, the successor Komárom district (in Hungarian Komáromi járás ) continues to exist within the same limits.

At the end of 2012, 39,559 inhabitants lived in the small area of ​​Komárom on an area of ​​378.78 km². After Kisbér , the small area had the second lowest population density (104 inhabitants per km²).

The administrative seat was in Komárom .
