Volker Mosblech

Volker Mosblech (* 10. January 1955 in Duisburg ) is a German politician of the CDU . From 2015 to 2017 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1976, Volker Mosblech began studying economics at the University of Duisburg and law at the University of Bonn . From 1976 to 1982 and from 1983 to 1986 he was a student trainee at the Lower Rhine Gas and Water Works Duisburg. He was employed as a lecturer at Sinusverlag in Krefeld from 1986 to 1987 and continued to work there as a freelancer from 1988 to 1992. From 1989 to 2000, Mosblech was the main representative of Victoria Insurance AG , and since 2001 he has been the main representative of DAS Insurance AG .

politics

Volker Mosblech has been a member of the CDU since 1972. From 1976 to 1979 he was chairman of the JU -Ortsverband Duisburg-Hamborn and chairman of the JU-Kreisverband Duisburg from 1987 to 1989. From 1978 to 1987 he was the deputy chairman of the JU district of the Rheinisches Ruhrgebiet. Since 1993 he has been deputy chairman of the CDU district association in Duisburg and since 1997 chairman of the CDU local association in Duisburg-Alt-Hamborn. In 1989 he became chairman of the East and Central German Association (OMV) of the CDU district association in Duisburg. From 1991 to 2002 and from 2004, Mosblech acts as the deputy chairman of the OMV regional association in North Rhine-Westphalia. From 1989 to 1994 he was a member of the Duisburg-Hamborn district council. Since 1994 he has been a member of the Council of the City of Duisburg, most recently in the role of Second Mayor.

Volker Mosblech was a member of the 13th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , to which he moved on September 6, 2004 and to which he belonged until June 2, 2005. After the death of Philipp Missfelder, he moved to the German Bundestag on July 20, 2015 . In the 2017 federal elections , he missed another entry into the Bundestag.
